Mining Refineries

Updated for 3.19

Using Refineries

Spoils of your expedition in a Mole or Prospector can either be sold raw or refined. In either case you must travel to a refinery currently available within Stanton here:

Selling Terminals

In order to sell the raw mined materials you will need to land at one of the stations listed above. Then proceed to the refinery deck and the office back above the shop.

As you enter the shop, directly ahead are the refinery job terminals, to their left is the selling terminals.

Worth the effort?

If you are desperately short on cash, or have no way to move refined materials to the final destination, then selling the material is the way to go. However if you can wait for the refinery job and can transport, then it is not worth your time directly selling.

Refining Terminals

Land at the above stations and proceed to the refinery deck, cross the refinery to the office above the shop. As you enter the refing terminals are directly in front of you.

Log into the terminal and you will need to select the ship with the ore in the bottom left.

The left hand menu informs you the specifics of this stations such as the yeild rate for the location.

Refinery Yield Rate

Each station has bonus’s and drawbacks for different materials, therefore refining an ore in one refinery with the same method will return more rewards. For the current refineries the yield bonus are listed:

Refining Methods

Refinery methods have several variables which will affect the time, cost and output.

These are the base level outputs, and the refinery specifics above should also be factored in. The base cost is applied regardless of the work size, there is additional charges for every unit processed.

Transport and Sell Refined Materials

This is where mining transitions into trading, your materials are now the same as any material you can purchase as a trader and sell in other locations.

When a refinery job is complete, you will need a ship with enough cargo space at the station to claim the completed material.

Proceed to the refinery terminal and log in.

The list of job will be shown, under the completed jobs select the ship you will be transporting in, and complete.

The materials will now be in your ship, proceed to complete all refinery jobs waiting for you.
